Last week, in another surreal Covid haze, I sat down with pen and paper, outlined the first two lectures in our new series on Seminar XX, then pressed record. It was a fever dream from start to finish, but also rather fitting, I thought, given the themes with which this series begins: love, enjoyment, and corporeality.
Somewhere along the way, I also revised one of our latest diagrams, and I’m excited to share the initial results with you here, in anticipation of our first live discussion on September 6th. It’s a diagram designed to help us spatialize, topologize, and geometricize an age-old Lacanian question: Why, exactly, is there no such thing as a sexual relationship?
And with that, as ever, it’s back to the book for me. Next up, chapters 3 and 4 of Seminar XX. And next up for you, if you haven’t yet registered for the series, is to click below and make it so! Indeed, you don’t want to miss a minute of this one.
Hi Sam! I registered for the seminar today. I will probably receive a zoom link before Friday, but I just let you know because I enrolled at the last moment.
Hi there! I registered for the Seminar but have not received any information on these lectures or the Zoom link for our live discussions -- am I missing anything?
